Siding is the most common exterior in the GTA and the most commonly botched. The boards themselves rarely fail — what fails is everything behind them: missing house wrap, no starter strip, flashing that dumps water into the wall. We treat siding as a cladding system, with the weather barrier, flashings, and ventilation detailed before a single board goes on.
We install vinyl, aluminum, fibre cement (James Hardie), and engineered wood profiles — horizontal lap, board and batten, and vertical panel — along with matching soffit, fascia, and trim so the whole elevation reads as one finished job.

Vinyl vs fibre cement — which should I choose?
Vinyl is the value option: lowest cost, no painting, 25–40 year life. Fibre cement (James Hardie) costs more installed but is fire-resistant, holds paint for 15+ years, and reads as a premium exterior — it typically returns more at resale. Aluminum sits between them and is still the standard for soffit and fascia. We quote the options side by side so you can decide on real numbers.

Can you side over my existing cladding?
Sometimes — but we rarely recommend it. Covering old cladding hides rot, traps moisture, and voids most manufacturer warranties. A tear-off lets us inspect the sheathing, fix what is actually there, and install a proper weather barrier. The cost difference is smaller than most homeowners expect.

Do you install siding in winter?
Yes, with material-specific limits. Vinyl gets brittle below about −10°C and needs wider expansion gaps; fibre cement and aluminum install fine through a Toronto winter. We schedule around cold snaps rather than losing the season.

Does new siding include soffit, fascia, and eavestrough?
Soffit, fascia, and trim are part of every full re-side we quote — the job looks unfinished without them. Eavestrough replacement is priced as an add-on line so you only pay for it if yours are due.
